Meet the Guides Who Bring Africa to Life

Small-group travel led by experts who know the region’s culture, history and hidden corners better than anyone.

At Africaventura, your guide is the heart of your journey. Our small groups of no more than 12 travellers are led by experienced specialists who combine deep cultural knowledge with genuine hospitality. Many have lived in the region for decades and are passionate about sharing insights that most visitors never hear.

Africaventura is different

At Africaventura, we leave room for improvisation, which means that we want our guides to bring their own personal touch to the tours and show you how they see the REAL Africa.

Whatever your guide's passion or specific knowledge, they will be happy to share it with you, stay by your side during the incredible experience that is a trip to Africa, answer all your (probably numerous!) questions about the strange and different things you will discover, and make sure you get the most out of your adventure in Africa.

What our travellers think

Everything was magnificent: the landscapes, the wildlife, the flora, the external speakers, the people we met, and the lodges, each one unique. To top it all off, Nicholas, our guide…had extensive knowledge in all areas. Highlights included our nighttime arrival at Ngepi Camp and the two nights spent in the company of hippos. Due to the rising waters of the Okavango River, access to the lodges was by dugout canoe and truck. The dugout canoe trip on the river at sunset was magnificent. The safaris featured all the majestic animals, including a truly regal lion and his mate. The Herero and Damara tribes were very enriching, especially the visit to Mondesa. The Namib Desert, with the climb to the highest dune you can ascend, was breathtaking. I could go on and on… (Nicole B. - May 2025)
