Itinerary: Your guide may make slight adjustments to the programme depending on weather, road conditions, and other circumstances.
Safari: Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed on safari, but the guides will do their utmost to help you spot as many animals as possible.
Travel Times: Driving times are approximate. South Africa is a vast country, so expect to spend a fair amount of time on the road.
Luggage: Due to limited space in the vehicle, we recommend bringing a soft bag or large backpack (max 20kg) and one piece of hand luggage.
Travel insurance is not included in our pricing but is strongly recommended.
Yes, on some trips. Where available, we offer options to extend your stay or add pre- and post-tour nights. Let us know your preferences and we’ll help arrange additional services where possible.
Yes, we recommend bringing a universal travel adaptor suitable for Southern Africa. UK three-pin plugs will not fit all sockets used locally. Some hotels may provide adaptors or USB sockets, but bringing your own is the safest option.
No. While we sell tours in multiple countries (i.e. Germany, France, United Kingdom, etc), we do not combine guests from those countries into a single departure. However, if, for instance, a German customer were to purchase from one of our UK sites (i.e. www.africaventura.co.uk as opposed to www.africaventura.de), nothing would stop them from doing so but the tour would be conducted in English.
We intentionally keep our groups small to ensure a more personal and immersive experience. The vast majority of our tours have a maximum limit of 12 and on average our tours have around 9 travellers. However, a very small number of our trips allow up to 16 travellers.
Our tour prices typically include accommodation, most meals, guided activities, entrance fees, and ground transportation. Specific inclusions are listed on each trip page.

This site explores the history of French Huguenots in South Africa within the broader context of migration and the search for freedom. It is a visit that highlights the rich cultural diversity of the country.
Following your tour, it is time for the pleasures of the table. Enjoy lunch at a Franschhoek vineyard followed by a wine tasting. Even if you are not a wine lover, the landscape of vines and mountains is a treat for the eyes.
Upon returning to Cape Town, your evening is free. Your guide will be happy to recommend several excellent dining spots in the city.

Today you will experience a true highlight. You head to the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park, the oldest nature reserve in Africa. The journey takes you past green fields of pineapple and sugar cane before the vast plains and rolling hills of the park open up before you.
The morning begins with a guided bush walk. Exploring on foot changes everything. You will notice details often missed during motorised safaris, such as tracks in the sand, the cleverness of insects and the scents of wild plants. This intimate immersion offers a fresh perspective on the bush.
In the afternoon, you will set off on a safari in an open 4x4. This time the horizon widens as you search for larger animals. You can observe rhinos, elephants, giraffes and antelopes in their natural habitat. These two different yet complementary experiences reveal the full richness of Hluhluwe Imfolozi.
At the end of the day, you will return to St Lucia. You can finish your evening in one of the friendly restaurants in the village, perhaps enjoying some freshly caught fish.
